Michael Moore vs. the KKK

Given that Michael Moore is back in the news with his new film, Sicko, I thought I'd share with you a recently posted clip from  Moore's past TV show called The Awful Truth.

Above is clip 2 from the KKK segment.  Here is clip 1.  I would have shown clip 1 but it had less Moore.   : )

See last week's Intercultural Videos for more Moore clips of interest to an interculturalist.  (O.K., sorry no Moore more puns).

The Diversity Debate: Jared Taylor (a "race realist") vs. Peter March V (St. Mary's University professor)

Taylor was originally schedule for a debate at Dalhousie University in Halifx, Nova Scotia this past January, but because of his racist views and because of protestors, the debate was cancelled and was later done at an undisclosed location.  Here is a clip of that secret debate.  Taylor describes himself as a "race realist."  What is a race realist anyway?  What are their views?  What is the difference between a race realist and a racist?  Is there really a difference?

Jared Taylor has been criticized and called "a racist in the guise of 'expert'."  However, some have also praised Taylor.  David Horowitz, writer and Fox News analyst, called Taylor  "a very smart and gutsy individualist" and "a very intelligent and principled man" (for more on Horowitz see this MediaMatters page).  Taylor is the founder of the New Century Foundation, the editor of American Renaissance and organizer of American Renaissance conferences.  Be sure to read the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Report on Taylor and the Anti-Defamation Leagues profile of Taylor's New Century Foundation/American Renaissance.  The SPLC site also has further coverage of Taylor and a new crop of racist intellectuals

Additional online videos showing Taylor's views

Note: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." (Sun Tzu's Art of War).

This is England (movie clip)

This is England, a new British film. is about a 12-year-old boy, Shaun, and his struggle to find a father figure.  Shaun finds his father figure in Combo, a racist skinhead.   In the U.S. the film has shown at some film festivals and will go into a limited release in the U.S. near the end of this month (for release dates see here and here).  More info about the film can be found at the official site and the Internet Movie Database site.  First start by watching of this clip below (Warning: Clip is Offensive).

For more analysis and clips from the film including the trailer, see the July 6th Intercultural Videos on the Web post.  For real-life racist rhetoric like that found this This is England, check out  Wake Up Britain.
